American Allied Insurance was selected for a Safeco Insurance® Make More Happen Award because of our volunteer service with The Arc of Norfolk. The award came with a $3,000 donation from Safeco Insurance for The Arc of Norfolk, and entry in the Safeco Insurance Make More Happen Contest.

At American Allied Insurance, we believe strongly in supporting our community — and dedicated organizations like The Arc of Norfolk help make Northease Nebraska a better place for all of us. We're particularly proud that we have been recognized with the Safeco Insurance Make More Happen Award.

People with disabilities often face barriers to choosing where to live and work, and even limitations on their participation and contributions in their own community. Serving more than 20 cities in Northeast Nebraska, The Arc of Norfolk both advocates for those with developmental disabilities and helps them lead more fulfilling lives. The organization believes that these individuals have every right to live independently, enjoy self-determination, pursue meaningful careers and enjoy full inclusion in society. American Allied Insurance shares these beliefs, and as new members of the Arc's support team, all four of the company's agents — including Allen Cooper, shown here at the 2015 annual picnic — are helping to fundraise and volunteer in various events. The Arc of Norfolk, which is affiliated with state and national Arc organizations, sponsors seven events throughout the year to promote socialization and advocacy.
